Art Intro This is a beginner's introduction to art including contour drawing, right/left brain concepts, colour theory, and acrylic paints. Materials provided. Art meets the Botanist Learn about native plants of British Columbia from retired biologist Jane Richardson. Capture the essence of their form in artwork. Art Trading Cards Art Cards (ATC’s) are like baseball cards. Leighdon Studio Gallery provides a trading location for ATC’s. These cards are free, but to take one you must give one. This class is designed to teach you a wide range of techniques used to make interesting and fun ATC’s. Collage Self Portrait Create a collage that is truly you. Bring a photo of yourself to copy and any collage materials you have (i.e. old photos, maps, paper, odds and sods etc.). The rest will be supplied. Extreme Abstracts Students will use impasto, palette knives, collage, metallic paint, gold leaf, and 3-D canvas techniques.
